All of our candles are designed, hand poured, and shipped right from our candle studio in Warwick, New York. When you attend a workshop, you’re stepping into the heart of our creative process. Our doors open to let you become a true candle artisan.
You’ll make two custom candles of your own, guided by our experienced candle makers every step of the way. Most classes consist of one jar candle with a personalized label, and one of our signature reusable rocks glass candles. When you’re finished burning your candle, it transforms into a drinking glass making for a beloved keepsake.
The class will be led through highlighting the elements that make up a candle. We will teach you the essentials of the process through prepping differently sized vessels, applying the necessary elements like wicks and warning labels, and the real fun: choosing your fragrance and measuring your wax. Then we combine everything into your successfully poured, one-of-a-kind, candle!
Hudson Valley Candle-Making Classes for All Levels
Our candle-making classes are a hands-on creative activity but don’t worry, you won’t get too messy. Just in case, we’ll provide aprons to protect your clothing from any splashes while stirring your signature scent. Our space is relaxed and welcoming, so dress in whatever makes you feel comfortable and inspired, whether you're joining us for a laid-back afternoon or celebrating something special.
We also allow you to sip and pour, so feel free to bring your favorite beverage during class and have water , soft drinks, and seltzer available for purchase. We’re all about celebrating what we love through fragrance, so why not relax, sip, stir, and create with us! .

Learn the Art (and Science) of Candle-Making
This isn’t a “pick a scent and walk away” kind of class. You’ll be fully immersed in the candle-making process. Just like a culinary class, you will see everything that goes into your candle as you pour it. Think of candle-making as more of a baking process than cooking. A bit of precision goes a long way. We pride ourselves in using quality ingredients, and you will learn about the benefits of each element as we explore it, such as our 100% soy wax that we use across all of our candles.
Whether you’re a floral girlie, love the ambiance of the coast, or appreciate the appeal of all encompassing neutral scents, we have a fragrance for you. In addition, you will learn how to blend these together to create a well balanced fragrance that is a personal fit for your vibe.
We treat this experience as an opportunity to teach, not just entertain. Our goal is to not only help you craft beautiful, clean-burning candles, but also to empower you with knowledge that can enhance your future candle purchases and burning habits.
Learn, Laugh, and Pour — The Time Will Fly
Candle-making classes typically last 1 to 1.5 hours. We love when guests dive deep into the process, but there’s no pressure to become an expert on day one. Whether you're making candles for the first time or you have a bit of expertise, our classes are designed to meet you at your experience level.
After class, we encourage everyone to explore Warwick and stay local for a bit. We share a parking lot with our neighbors at Drowned Lands Brewery, one of the Hudson Valley’s most beloved spots for locally crafted beer and beautiful vibes. If you want to keep the fun going, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a beverage or a bite with friends. Many of our guests make a whole afternoon of candle-making followed by a drink and some downtime at the many shops, wineries, and restaurants around town. Truly a Hudson Valley experience!

When Will I Get My Candles?
Good things take time! Your candles will need to cure for at least 24 hours before they’re ready to be taken home. You can return during our regular business hours (Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:30pm, Saturday 12pm–4pm) to pick them up. We’ll hold them for up to two weeks, or if it’s more convenient, we can ship them to you for a flat $10 within the continental U.S. (with discounted rates for multiple sets sent to the same address).

Your candles are poured into our reusable rocks glass, so once your candle has burned down, clean it out with soap and water and let it live on as your new favorite drinkware.
